Zaventem, 18th of January 2012 – Starting from today Willy Sempels will lead the sales team of SAGA Consulting Group, one of the fastest growing IT suppliers in Belgium. He joined the team to strengthen the growth in the home market of SAGA Consulting Group, the Benelux, as part of the strategic plan.
Willy Sempels has more than 23 years experience in IT and gets the assignment to strengthen the position of SAGA Consulting Group in the IT service market of Belgium and Luxembourg, but also to extend the activities, specifically in the energy market.
Willy Sempels started in 1988 – immediately after obtaining his Master degree in IT & Mathematics at the Catholic University of Leuven – working for Trasys, an IT consultancy company. He had different job positions within the company: Business Line Manager, Sales & Pre-Sales Manager and Vice President Energy & Utilities. In this last function he learned everything about the energy sector.
With his arrival the strategic plan of SAGA becomes very concrete. A crucial pillar in the growing history of the company is to focalize on gaining new areas, where the energy market is part of. SAGA Consulting Group wants to realize his growing story through a clearly defined market, divided into 6 areas (Enterprise Applications, Web & Mobile applications, Social Media & Communications, Workforce Management, IT-security solutions and Testing & Quality Assurance), the development of own business solutions and the investment in the career and development of his own employees. At this moment SAGA recruits 50 new employees: account manager, recruiters and consultants with good knowledge of Java and .NET technology.
